Brendan has a long history of public service, progressive activism, and community engagement.
In high school Brendan interned in the district office of Congressman William Delahunt (D-MA), assisting staffers in their work helping constituents navigate the federal bureaucracy.
As an undergraduate Brendan interned on the first campaign of former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick (D-MA). Brendan then spent two years working in a middle school as a tutor for disadvantaged students before moving on to a small non-profit providing assistance to immigrants in San Diego.
After graduating with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of San Diego in 2008, Brendan moved to Ireland to study at Trinity College, graduating with a M.Sc. in Comparative European Politics in 2009.
Brendan then returned to California and joined a public policy research firm in San Francisco as a quantitative research analyst, working on projects analyzing prescription drug safety and Medicare and Medicaid claims fraud.
In 2010 moved from San Francisco to West Hollywood, working first as an analyst for a defense contractor and a health insurance company. He has been at his current company, AT&T (previously DirecTV), for five years and in his current role oversees a team responsible for optimizing several billion dollars in annual customer investments.
Since moving to West Hollywood nine years ago Brendan has been active in the community; as a member of West Hollywood Dodgeball and Varsity Gay League and as a frequent volunteer for local progressive candidates.
